Walmart Recalls Two Products Over Safety Concerns
Walmart is recalling two products due to safety concerns, as flagged by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The products include a camping stove and children’s helmets. Both items pose serious risks to consumers, necessitating their immediate return for refunds.
Walmart Recalls Camping Stove Over Explosion Risk
The first product being recalled is the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove. This dark green stove, identified with the model number BG2247A1 and featuring an orange “Ozark Trail” logo, is at risk of exploding or catching fire. The recall affects approximately 201,000 units sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online from March 2023 until October 2025, priced between $8 and $45.
The CPSC reported 26 documented incidents of the stoves either exploding or catching fire. Among these incidents, 16 resulted in serious injuries, including second-degree burns. The manufacturer of this product, China Window Industry Co, urges customers to stop using the stove immediately and return it to Walmart for a full refund. The official recall number for this product is 26-120.
Children’s Helmets Recalled for Safety Compliance Issues
The second item under recall involves about 24,300 children’s helmets manufactured by Outdoor Master. These helmets fail to meet essential safety standards, increasing the risk of head injuries during crashes. The helmets were sold online at Walmart.com and Amazon.com from June 2024 to February 2025, costing between $20 and $32.
