Subaru America Unveils December 2025 and Year-End Sales Results
Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) has released its sales figures for December 2025. A total of 57,437 vehicles were sold during the month, representing a 7.2 percent decline compared to December 2024. Overall, the calendar year ended with 643,591 vehicle sales, down 3.6 percent from 2024.
Highlights from December 2025 Vehicle Sales
- Top Performer: The Subaru Crosstrek led sales with 191,724 units sold, an increase of 5.5 percent from the previous year.
- Forester Sales: Sold 15,393 units in December, with a total of 175,070 for the full year. This marks a slight decrease of 0.3 percent year over year.
- Outback: Recorded 14,773 units in December, with total annual sales of 157,716, reflecting a 6.6 percent drop.
- Legacy: Posted a strong performance, achieving 1,935 sales in December and 22,212 for the year, a 13.4 percent increase.
Executive Insights
Jeff Walters, President and COO of Subaru of America, commented on the results. He acknowledged the dedication of their retailers during the transition of Forester assembly to the Subaru of Indiana Automotive plant. He emphasized the company’s commitment to providing exceptional value and staying true to its core values.
Troy Poston, Senior Vice President of Sales, highlighted the retailers’ focus on delivering personalized customer experiences. He expressed excitement for the upcoming 2026 lineup, which includes the all-new Trailseeker and Uncharted models, hinting at a promising future for Subaru.
Subaru Share the Love® Event
December’s sales were bolstered by the Subaru Share the Love® Event, which supports numerous national and local charities. For every new vehicle sold or leased, Subaru donates $250 to a charity of the buyer’s choice. This initiative has contributed over $350 million since its inception in 2008.
